Wine: Moss Wood 2018 Pinot Noir
Region: Margaret River
Price: $79.99
Score: 96 Points – Tom
Appearance: Medium Ruby
Aroma: There’s a lot to unpack here! Black fruits & strawberry jam come to mind first! Earthiness at the back adding to the complexity with a little bit of oak.
Palate: Larger bodied pinot, medium to full bodied. Bright strawberry with seemingly mushroom on the back, with a little toasty oak. Light tannins, with a good amount acidity that seems to hold the wine together well!
Review: A great fruit dominant pinot that drinks phenomenally now. This is a pinot lovers dream. It will also seriously reward long term cellaring (+ 10 years). If you feel like a real treat, this is hard to pass. The scarcity of the wine alone represents just how good it is! Such small yields reap such rich wines!
